CCS Events Scheduled for February 2008

Meeting to get together, chat, and have input for what kind of events and activities to plan. We will discuss all that I have planned so far, and you will tell me what you want to do! Bowling, dining, BBQ in the park, bonfire, movies, or whatever you want to do. so I can plan it.

Let's hit Solvang on a Fudge Run - This will help shake off any after Valentine's feelings :-) CLICK HERE for FULL details. We will meet at the Wal-Mart parking lot on Bradley Rd. in Santa Maria by 10:00 AM. We will carpool from there. It is suggested to pitch in for gas. For 4 seater or more, how about $5 each for gas? Otherwise, you are welcome to drive yourself if you wish to. We should get to Solvang by 11:00 AM to visit the stores and get our fudge and sweets, have lunch, and play tourist. Bring your cameras and wooden shoes! Be sure to click the link for full details, itinerary, what to wear, etc.

On the way back, we will stop at the Ostrich Farm for some bird petting. If you've never seen ostriches and emus close up, you are in for a treat. You can buy food and go down to feed them. It's fun. Then you can check out the giant eggs and ostrich jerkey in the gift shop! Yum! lol.

To top off the trip, those who want to continue will have dinner at Red Robin, then head of to the Santa Maria Inn for karaoke. I will email the exact meeting location. if you can drive, or if you need a ride so I can plan this properly. It's going to be loads of fun!

Sweet Singles Pre-Valentine's Day Dance! Why have the pressure of a Valentine's date, when you want to go out without any pressure? Join other singles to have a fun time. We will have DJ Avery again, so let us know if you have any special request songs a couple days before the dance. I will have more info up soon, so keep checking back! Be sure to tell all your friends, too!

Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available. Please note: Because the floor is wood and subject to damage, we ask that women not wear heels, and men not wear boots. If you have soft soled shoes or sneakers, that would be prefereable. We will be checking shoes at the door to be sure we don't damage the floor. Thanks!

I will be using the Evite system to get your RSVP's, so if you do not get an Evite at least a week before the event, so I can be sure you get the Evite. Thanks!

Big Chill at the Grad! Be sure to meet at our table on the right as you come in the door. Watch for the little sign on the table! You can find my pic on this website, or in the pic section of our MySpace page. Dancing starts at 9:00 if you want to pay cover charge and come in. Otherwise, get there for dinner before 8:15, and you won't have to pay cover charge! I will be there about 7:30 to get my Gradburger or Chicken and fries, or baked potato. I haven't decided yet! I will also hold a table, so be sure to for this event! Be aware that the later you get there, the harder it is to find parking. You could end up parking in the Goodwill lot or on the street a block away if you get there late! Also contact me about possible carpools from Santa Maria or Paso. No guarantees, but I can put people in contact with each other from the RSVPs.
