CCS Events Scheduled for January 2008

Saturday

SINGLES MINGLE DINNER

We will have a meeting, and discuss what is going on, events, meet each other, and get acquainted. It will be a low key way to meet other singles without any pressure to dance or perform in any way. Come sit down with us, meet, and chat.

Coco's is a neat little place, if you've never eaten there. They are a family diner type of place, with a very reasonable menu, with good fresh food, and lots of tempting goodies for dessert! They have a back room we can use, and they will prepare for us.

UPDATE: I have been contacted by a reporter that wants to come talk with singles, and find out what it is like to be single on the Central Coast. She has already interviewed me, and wants to ask others about it. I agreed that You would be the best people to ask. She may have a photographer with her for those who wish to be in a group picture. Let's show the Central Coast that we are single and invite them to join us. Our goal is to meet people and have a singles community that will find our life mates and have plenty of social events for everyone. The more people we have participating, the more we can do!

Saturdays they do not usually "hold" a room, but he will put us down for it. We need to contact them before arrival so they know how many to prepare for, and I will call in the day before, as well. Please if you are going, so I can let them know how many to expect. Thanks!

CAMBRIA/SAN SIMEON ELEPHANT SEALS

The Elephant Seals are active right now, let's go see them! CLICK HERE for FULL details. You can arrange carpool from Santa Maria by contacting me and I will get your email to each other. We will meet in SLO at 10 AM for departure to see the Elephant Seals. We can carpool from there. For carpool, I suggest pitching in $5 each for 4 seater or more. We will meet at Madonna Plaza shopping center (Sears/Best Buy) on Madonna Rd. to get together and leave from there.

By the time we get there, we will probably be hungry for lunch, so we can stop at the grill for lunch. They have great sandwiches and we can meet up with anyone from Paso or Cambria area there. After lunch, we can head up the coast to see the Elephant Seals. If you have never seen them before, you will be in awe. We can spend time there with them, then head down to San Simeon for a walk out onto the pier, or visit the little store (Gina, are they still open there?). If anyone wants to stop at the castle visitor center, we can do that, too. Some may decide to stay behind for castle tours and carpool back when done.

On the way back, I suggest a stop in Morro Bay along the Embarcadero, maybe get some fish and chips on the waterfront looking out at majestic Morro Rock, then head home. so I can help arrange carpools if needed.

Location: Meet at Madonna Plaza near Big 5. Look for my vehicle. Email or call if you wish to meet us in Cambria.

LUNCH AT MO'S AND WALK ON THE BEACH

Some of us are going to get together for lunch at Mo's Smokehouse in Pismo, and walk down to the beach. It will be a nice stroll, with stops along the way to rest. We will walk down to the white cliffs to enjoy the coast and explore. Even if you have some trouble walking, we will all be going nice and slow!

BIG CHILL AT THE GRAD

Big Chill at the Grad! Be sure to meet at our table on the right as you come in the door. Watch for the little sign on the table! You can find my pic on this website, or in the pic section of our MySpace page. Dancing starts at 9:00 if you want to pay cover charge and come in. Otherwise, get there for dinner before 8:15, and you won't have to pay cover charge! I will be there about 7:30 to get my Gradburger or Chicken and fries, or baked potato. I haven't decided yet! I will also hold a table, so be sure to for this event! Be aware that the later you get there, the harder it is to find parking. You could end up parking in the Goodwill lot or on the street a block away if you get there late! Also contact me about possible carpools from Santa Maria or Paso. No guarantees, but I can put people in contact with each other from the RSVPs.

Location: The Grad, 990 Industrial Way (at the end), San Luis Obispo. Google Map
